2013 Cabin Fever Payout, Procedures & Format
 
Raceivers are required by all drivers in competition at Plymouth Speedway
 
Pit Pass: Friday - $25; Saturday - $30; Special 2-day pass - $50.
Transponder fee each night - $5 (unless already reserved for the season); Required Transponder Pouch - $15. Pouches will be available at the pit tower for purchase. Transponder rental will also be at the pit tower. Transponders are returned at pay window at end of each night’s racing.

Format

All cars will be assigned a hot lap/qualifying group upon entry. All cars MUST have transponders on during hot laps. Failure to have transponder on during hot laps may result in qualifying time not being registered, and thus no time will be given. If no time is given, driver will be credited with slowest time.
 
Hot Laps/Qualifying Groups
Up to 6 cars per group. Hot Laps will be up to 5 laps per group.
Qualifying will be 3 laps (excluding caution laps if any).
Fastest qualifier not racing way into feature during qualifying races Saturday, will be given a provisional (provisional will start after the heat race qualifiers)
 
Shootouts
Top 10 Qualifiers each class. 12 laps.
Fast Qualifier will draw (2, 4, or 6). Odds of drawing: 2 – 1:5, 4 – 2:5,
6 – 2:5
Winner locked into Saturday Feature (starting position TBD).

 

 

 
Hot Laps
Pill draw determines hot lap group for Sat racers only Hot Laps for Fri participants use assigned groups from Friday night Drivers unable to qualify will pill draw for heat. Pill draw drivers will start behind qualified cars for heats. All cars MUST have transponders on during hot laps. Failure to have transponder on during hot laps may result in disqualification for the event.
 
Heats
Top 4 to Feature (but car count will determine number that transfer)
Pill draw cars will line up behind last (slowest) Friday qualifier.
Winner Heat 1 assumes fast time for Feature and will redraw to set the field (2, 4, 6, 8). Odds of drawing: 2 – 1:12, 4 – 2:12, 6 – 5:12, 8 – 4:12.
Winner Heat 2 assumes 2nd fast time and so on.
Winner Heat 1 must draw as soon as final heat race of that division is on track
 
Bmains
Top 4 to Feature (but car count will determine number that transfer). Heat non-transfers lined up by order of all heat finishes with Heat 1 first non-transfer starting on pole. If more than one Bmain, lineups will be adjusted accordingly as well as number of transfer positions.
 
Provisionals
Fastest non-transfer (based upon Friday qualifying time) and Shootout winner (if does not transfer through heat or Bmain) will start in the last 2 positions of Feature Shootout winner is still able to race heat for better starting position in Feature If the circumstance arises that only one provisional or no provisional are used, then Bmain finishers will be transferred accordingly.
 
Additional Procedures
Top 5 each feature MUST cross the scales located in the pits. Driver will forfeit finish position if car does not come off track and directly to the scale/tech area. It is at the discretion of the tech official if further inspection of car is required. Top 3 each feature MUST stop on the front-stretch for trophy presentation and interviews. Once that is completed, each car must go directly into the scale/tech area in the pits. Top 3 for each shootout MUST stop on the front-stretch for trophy presentation and interviews. Once that is completed, each car must go directly into the scale/tech area in the pits. It is at the discretion of the tech official if further inspection of car is required. Any car failing inspection will be notified immediately. It is at the discretion of the tech official if a car is deemed legal or illegal. If the car is deemed illegal, the next highest finisher will assume that finish position and so on. Once Friday qualifying has ended, top qualifiers from each class MUST re-enter the track surface with car and stop on front-stretch for Fast Qualifier Bonus and re-draw for Shootout. Pit Steward will announce those cars immediately after qualifying. First heat race on Saturday will have cars stop on front-stretch with engines off for the national anthem, prayer, and command to start engines.
